The Teacher

Almut draws on over 16 years of experience of using movement work to support and transform her own journey through life, first through 5-Rhythms dance and through Movement Medicine since 2007. Almut underwent the full apprenticeship and professional teacher training in Movement Medicine and completed a further teaching module working with the emotions and with a process that can support healing from past trauma (Chambers of the heart and SEER process). Since February 2019 she is a fully qualified Movement Medicine Teacher. In addition to this in May 2017 Almut successfully completed a training in grief and depression recovery. Furthermore, she has a background in teaching German in adult education, where she has been teaching large groups of people from all over the world with different cultural and religious backgrounds for the past 18 years. Since May 2014 Almut has been holding her own regular Movement Medicine classes in South London. Since January 2018 she has been holding two-day Movement Medicine workshops working with grief recovery. Her Movement Medicine classes have been attended by people of different cultural backgrounds, ages and abilities. Almut's teaching is clear and she can hold a safe space for deep body work and senses and adapts to what is needed.
